Class Description

Let your voice be heard! We invite featured poets to read some of their work while other creatives are welcome to join our spoken word open mic. Sign up is at 6:45pm. This ongoing series is curated by Laura Salvatore. This month features poets Nicholas Henderson, Stephanie Laterza, Rhöm Robert and James K. Zimmerman. Stephanie Laterza is a Brooklyn-based author and attorney. Her books, The Lunasole Class (Alien Buddha Press, 2024) and The Boulevard Trial, were honored as Finalists of the 2025 American Legacy Book Awards in the categories of LGBTQ+ Fiction and Thriller: Legal, respectively. Stephanie is also the author of the social justice-focused poetry collection, Verás (Broadstone Books, 2023) and the erotic feminist poetry chapbook, The Psyche Trials (Finishing Line Press, 2019). Follow Stephanie on IG @stef3rd. Rhöm Robert recently graduated from the City College of New York (Fall 2025) with a masters in creative writing, with a focus on poetry. They have one poem in the 2023 issue of Lenticular, and three poems in The Marbled Sigh. James K. Zimmerman's work appears in Chicago Quarterly Review, december, Folio, Lumina, Nimrod, Pleiades, Rattle, among others. Author of four volumes of poetry – most recently “The Further Adventures of Zen Patriarch Dōgen” and “Unbroken Circle, Unending Thread” – he values his neurodivergence as an essential wellspring of his creative inspiration.
